Role of woman in family life
It is thought that woman only should
stay at home and do housework, and man is responsible to earn money. Each
person is in charge of one aspect, so everything will be solved better. Do you
agree or not with this opinion? Or what is your opinion about this matter?
I have read a saying:
“The difference between man and woman is very simple one, namely, that he earns
money while she spends it". It is a popular conception in European
societies. However, in my opinion, the roles of man and woman in family life depend
on many things.
First of all, it
depends on the financial potential of the man. Whether
he can make enough money to bring up his family without contribution of his
wife or not? If the answer is no, the woman still has to work to earn money to
care the family. It is quite popular with rural families where the life is not
easy. For example, my father and my mother, both of them have worked hard to
care and nourish our family, and both of them are responsible to educate their
children.
Secondly, does the woman
willingly just stay at home and do housework? That is pretty dull. I think
there are many women who want to work outside, not only to earn money but also
to improve their skills and develop themselves. Working in a society brings
more pleasure than doing housework. It is selfish if the man just wants to keep
his wife in and do not allow her to go out and do something she likes.
Thirdly, housework is
not a big matter to the woman any more nowadays. In case of need, she can hire
a maidservant (an "osin”) in order to help her do housework. Thus, she
will have more time to do her job while the housework is still done. It is very
common in modern society, especially in rich families.
Fourthly, why the role
of the man in family life is seldom mentioned? I think the man is also very
important in building and caring the family, doing housework and educating
children. He can give his wife a hand when she is tired, pregnant or help her care the babies… Doing housework together will make them understand and sympathize
with each other better; therefore, their family life will be happier.
In conclusion, roles of
man and woman in a family life depend on many things, such as their financial
situation and the conception of them about it. However, in my opinion, it will
be better if he or she shares works and difficulties to the other.

Causes of and solutions to that animals are becoming extinct throuhout the world
All over the world, many species of animals are disappearing quickly. This is the result of many reasons and we should find out and solve them.
First of all, the natural habitats are becoming smaller due to climate change and so animals have many difficulties to live and reproduce. Consequently, the number of animals is reducing to under Effective population size. The main solution is to protect the natural habitats. By doing this, the animal will have safe environment to live. Another idea ís that the scientist should research and move animals living in dangerous areas to other suitable accommodations. As a result, animals will have chance to develop and the variety of animals will increase.
Moreover, many kinds of animals are over-hunted by people to exploit their horn, ivory, leather,... because of their demands of food, clothes, decoration, ... The most obvious answer is that the governments should control hunting, especially hunting in danger species. For example, they could set up conserved parks where animals can live in their own environment and keep people out of these parks. By doing this, animals will be protected from illegal hunters. Besides, exploiting should attach with protecting animals; hence, the number of animals will not drop.
Last but not least, according to evolutionary theories, when species could not adapt to their environment, they will become extinct. The only one solution is that these animals have to change themselves to be exist in their environment. Humans could not help them but conserve their genes with the aim of recreating new individuals.
In short, there are many reasons why many kinds of animals are becoming extinct. Humans' activities is one of the most important causes. Therefore, they should act to solve these problems.

Endangered species - Corrected version
Everyday, animals are becoming extinct throughout the world. What do
you think the causes of this are? What solutions can you suggest?
Nowadays,
there are many wild animals are under threat of extinction. Although
occasionally some species disappear from the Earth naturally, the causes of
this phenomenon are mainly human activities. Humans, the smartest species in
the world, must take responsibility for this loss.
The
most important reason is widespread deforestation. People cut down trees
haphazardly, especially in developing countries. As we know, the number of
species living in forests is much more than in any other habitats.
Unfortunately, almost all forests are belonged to poor and developing countries
such as countries in South America, South Asia and Africa .
These countries consider forests as one of the most important natural
resources. They cut down trees to export timber to rich countries and import
basic goods such as food, drugs… Because it is very difficult for these
countries to escape from the cycle of poverty, they still continue deforesting
as a way to earn their living.
The
other reason is the rising of the world population. It leads to many problems.
Firstly, people need more space to live or to build their houses, so they
invade habitats of wildlife species. Secondly, in order to supply enough food
to seven billion people, they must exhaustively exploit the nature. They hunt terrestrial
animals on lands, catch fishes in the seas and trap birds. They do all possible
manners to satisfy human needs without worrying about the stress of nature.
There are many animal species become extinct and endangered because of illegal
hunting activities.
The
development of industry is also a main reason; it connects with the rising of
the world population. The more they develop industry, the more natural
resources they need to operate and the more waste they discharge into the
environment. Therefore, many species, also comprising human, are suffered from
toxic substances; thus, the number of individuals of certain species has been decreasing to levels of extinction. Industry also discharges carbon dioxide and
other gases into the air. People believe that these gases cause two serious
environmental problems called green house and climate change. These phenomena are
leading to a great change of natural environment in the world. On one aspect, the
temperature is gradually increasing; it makes ice on mountains and poles melt,
thus the sea levels also are rising. Some coastal areas will be flooded under
seawater, so species in these areas will loss their habitats and become fewer.
What
can we do to protect wildlife animals? Firstly, I think rich countries should help
poor countries create some nature reserves and develop their own economies.
Countries having nature reserves can develop the tourism industry. If the lives
of the poor become better, they will not need to deforest and hunt animals in
order to earn their living. Secondly, governments should improve knowledge of
people about this problem through education and mass media. Thirdly, we need to
use natural resources more wisely and stop poaching.

Entry for 17/05
Today,
one of my colleagues had an accident when she was riding her motorbike
to our centre. She crashed over an other motorbike and fractured her
fourth finger bone on the left foot. Because she could not go to the
hospital by herself, I took her there. Hence, I came to work late.
Fortunately, my boss did not rebuke me for not coming on time due to her
permission when we left our centre. At noon, I fell to the ground when I
was carrying dishes and bowls to the sink. It was strange that all of
the dishes and bowls which I was carrying were not broken. It maybe a
day of accidents.
Well how busy today was. There were so many things for me to do that I could not do anything well. I was so confused and it was impossible to argue that I did not complete my missions.
